Why Windows is Still a Better Operating System than Mac OS

I'm sitting here on a Windows Vista computer and – I'll be honest – the thing drives me nuts. Not because it's particularly buggy or crashy, it's not. None of the insane and unnecessary security features like user access control on the new OS are bothering me, I have them all turned off. And even the fact that it doesn't work with my network server very well, resulting in lots of strange "green ring lags", doesn't really get to me all that much, mostly because that's the fault of the Network OS and not Vista. Vista is doing its best to stay in contact, but the older protocol on the network gets a little bit confused at times and decides that my computer is actually a sink or something and disconnects.

The Book is Better

I remember my friend Erik Tessier telling me that he had read somehwere that people were prognosticating that Johnny Depp would one day be the greatest actor of our generation.  We were teenagers.  I didn't know very much about acting, but I thought to myself, "sure, I can see that."

Then one day somebody said to Johnny Depp, "Hey!  If you dress up like a drenched clown and run around acting like you're drunk all the time, we'll pay you 20 million dollars…

...and you can do that as MANY TIMES AS YOU LIKE".

Future President Speaks

Thank goodness for 60 minutes. It's the only fair and balanced news source left in mainstream television.

The top link at the following page goes to last week's ep. 60 sultry minutes of one on one chatter between Steve croft and the candidates. It can't just be care about values and positions, this race is simply too important to just tow the party line. If you go to the polls without listening to these interviews, it will be all the sadder for our struggling nation. These contain as much of the "actual man" as we are likely to hear before we choose. Enjoy (direct link here).
