the Unexpressed Advantage

I'm not usually into doing picture posts; this mostly because I don't have a good Camera. Went to the Rodeo on Saturday though and borrowed Vanya's camera for a while so I figured I'd post some of the outcomes. The rodeo was pretty cool, I must say. Especially when they said, "we like to pray to our Lord Jesus before we get started". I'm sure that wouldn't have gone over very well in Vancouver. Cowboy culture. You gotta love it.

It was hot. I mean like 29 degree hot (that's 90 Fahrenheit). I'm not sure what's going to happen when I move back to California. Most likely I'll melt.

Rest. Relax. Outdoors. Parties. Reading. Sleeping.

This morning my colleague S. Lee, who is like our own office digg machine, sent us this link to a video of an animation painted completely on public city walls If you're a fan of, well anything visual, then I think you'll be amazed. Somehow, and I'm not sure how, I ended up reading this article about the removal of the ban on selling foie gras in Chicago. I found it interesting, because I didn't really know what foie gras was or why it would be illegal in Chicago. The article pretty much explained all that. Foie Gras is duck liver from ducks who are force-fed so their livers get really fatty and tasty. Apparently this offends some animal rights Activists.

1. The bus driver letting me ride in the a.m for free so I didn't have to bike all the way to work in the rain.
   
2. This week's This American Life. Wow. Good. Never fails. Now I know everything. C'mon. drinks with TARA REID!!! Are you kidding me? That's just crazy.
   
3. A cool conversation with my pastor. He's a pretty cool guy.
   
4. Some indirect advice from a friend about tying my pants leg up with a string. Turns out that works pretty well. Although now due to laziness I'm walking around most of the day with a string tied around my right pants-leg cuff.
