Put Your Kids to Bed

This guy I found out about from boian.1

I dunno who he his or why he writes his blog, but he's great.

His most recent article is a great piece of unsolicited advice discussing the merits of bedding your childrens early. I don't have any children, so I put my cooking knives to bed early. They rarely complain.

Here's an excerpt:

Let them know that your time with your wife trumps all other considerations, and, after their bedtime, they are "other considerations."

and another

Nonsense

American Idol

I stole this off of the boian web

I don't know why I keep blogging about American Idol, but everybody is into it and it's generating new traffic to the site, so why not?

This isn't a happy time to talk about american idol though. Last night was a disaster. If you check out votefortheworst.com (warning, unsure of content, may be objectionable) they posted a nice little hate letter about Gwen Stefani. I like Gwen Stefani, so I don't agree with the letter, but it does point out the obvious that she didn't really do much to help out the singers. She just kind of stood there and looked pretty, which I guess is ok.

Simply The Best

You might not like him. You might love him. Makes no difference though, he's just the best in the NBA right now.

The Great Global Warming Conspiracy (GGWC)

The Great Global Warming Conspiracy (GGWC)

Jeff and I have been arguing a bit about the whole Global Warming issue. It's a pretty big deal I think, when all of a sudden some former nearly president guy gets up on the national stage and tells you, "Hey our planet is dying!"

If the earth's core had stopped rotating or maybe a giant asteroid were heading our way I think we'd be in great shape. After all we could just call Hilary Swank or Bruce Willis and they'd come save us with their movie star prowess.

I Give Up on American Idol

So I'm here watching the most recent episode of idol and I thought I'd make my pick before I bounced into the website to find out who got voted off.

But to be honest, I've got no idea. I was gonna go with Sanjaya, 'cause I thought it was time, but his performance tonight combined with the freaky 10 year old pretty much guaranteed that he's going on. He might not be the greatest in our opinion, but if teenage girls like him, who are we to argue? "America" doesn't just equal the 18-34 year olds, and if barbie doll owning girls need to vote for Sanjaya, then I suppose he should stay. The world needs Hanson, New Kids on the Block, and the Backstreet boys, even if I don't really like them that much.
