I am a Slave to Song

Update: The beard guy and sundance red simply rule as well.

So I have a little bit of retraction to do tonight.

Singer

A few days, weeks, months, years, whatever, back I wrote a post about how dumb American Idol is.

And now I have to take it back. I'm not even sure why.

Tonight I was hanging out with Lucas and Shannon and playing some music and watching some "Office," When Lucas told me how American Idol was good. I parleyed that it was not good, but bad. Then Lucas refuted me by pointing out how fun it is to watch the first few weeks of auditions and all the great and unbelievably horrible tryouts they have.

The Pile

I'd like to thing that I'm a pretty clean guy. I mean i'm not obsessive by any means, but I definitely take a shower everyday and after sports. I use deodorant and wash my hair. I clean the counters while I'm cooking and usually do my dishes right after the meal. My car is spotless inside and clean-ish on the outside (it's hard to keep cars clean in rainy towns).

And my room is generally organized and fairly dust-free.

But then there's the pile.

I’m Sorry to Say This…

But I really don't like Sufjan Stevens at all.

Everybody else loves him and I suppose I can understand why. He sort of has a greatful dead-ish-slash-fish-ish kind of sound that involves all kinds of wierd sounds on his M-1 Korg Keyboard.

For me that kind picasso-esque take on music, which attempts to trancend genre to create a genre-less form of music that somehow coheses into its own genre, feels bit lacking/wanting. I'm not 100% sure that I'm willing to call it music. 1

Joost Me

Hey if anybody out there has any Joost Tokens, I'd be happy to borrow one. If you don't know what i'm talking about it, you're probably better off.

I need a New Bed

I need a new Bed

This is a major problem. And the road to here has been a long one.

Basically the last few years of my life have involved sub-par sleeping arrangements.. My Junior year of college I slept on a pretty good futon, I think that was maybe the best, since then its been all downhill.

For 3 years at the end of college and after I slept on the floor on a therm-a-rest. I did this because I saw my roommate Joey doing it and it seemed easier than carting around a bed. Then somehow I ended up on a couch for a while with the occasional sleeping on a single mattress on the floor. This is, for some, the post college bachelor life.
