Why Book not Gone?
People are asking about the Ayn Rand Book listed as the "Book I'm Currently Reading."
They want to know
a. Why is it taking so long, and
b. Why am I reading a book by Ayn Rand anyway.
Well the answer to number A is pretty simple. The book is really long. It's 700 + pages long, and not your typical Drew Barrymore / John Grisham adventure in the Presidential Office of Jack Ryan type of reading. It's pretty thick for a novel, lots of long descriptive paragraphs and character speeches that span for pages. So even though it's interesting, it's not necessarily always fun to read. I often put it down and find that I don't pick it up again for a week.
Tidbits on Crack -

Studio 60 and the Sunset Strip
I've managed to catch the first three episodes of Aaron Sorkin's new show. It's on NBC Monday Nights at 10:00pm, a little late, but worth it. If you like Sorkin's work, you'll love this show. If you liked the West Wing, especially the first four season, you'll like this show. If you liked the movie, "The American President," you'll like this show. If you like great writing, unrealistically pleasing pacing, good acting, good drama, or real-life situations depicted on tv, you'll like this show. Finally, if you like the idea of seeing Matthew Perry actually act, you'll love this show. If you don't like this show, you and I probably don't have a lot in common, and you don't think that the simpons or homestar runner are funny. That's ok, but just make sure you don't bug me Monday night around 10ish – 11ish.
