I’m Really Mad at the Whitecoats

I think the fact that Astronomers decided this week that Pluto is no longer a planet is just plain stupid.
I'm sitting here reading articles about how scientists have demoted Pluto’s status to dwarf planet and as it joins the ranks of other smaller "dwarf" planets our solar-system will be left a little less interesting to your typical grade 4 space enthusiast with only 8 planets left.
Ridiculous.
The O.C. Song has it right

Today you get a nice double feature. A. You get the link to my favorite wallpaper download site (totally free) and B. You get to hear my whiny reminiscence of all things California.
Today I was sitting around my room messing with my computers, and as is often the case I noticed that my laptop background needed updating. So I went to the only site that I go to for desktop backgrounds, which is InterFaceLift. Interfacelift is a completely free site that has, in my opinion, some of the most beautiful wallpapers you will ever see. They allow you to customize the download to fit your screen, and it’s a completely clean site, no inappropriate pictures here. I’m not sure how I found it, but if you like a little variety and beauty on your desktop (especially considering that so many are buying new monitors these days) then it is the place to go.
Today was the most perfectest day ever…
At least since I’ve moved to Vancouver, maybe longer. I won’t bore you with the details of my fantastic day, but I will say that it involved people; some people who are my most favorite people in Vancouver and some who I’ve barely began to get to know. There were no magnificent single events, just a consecutive stream of very good events that added up to the best day I’ve had since I moved to this wonderful place.
Kafe Katzenjammer - the Best Breakfast in Vancouver
at least so far…
This is the second weekend in a row that I've made my way down to cafe Katzenjammer. I love good breakfast, and have been searching for an acceptable place (reminiscient of "sin of cortez" and "morning thunder" back in my chico days) ever since I arrived; only to be dissapointed time and time again by overpriced, underportioned, not-so-well-cooked breakfast type meals.
Since cafe Katzenjammer (what a weird name, after some 100 year old german comic strip) is only two blocks from my house, I knew it existed but had never gone in, being fairly unfamiliar with their staple of german style food.
