Everybody needs to feel extra important now and then…
The craziest sort of thing happened today. Something made me happy by surprise. Here's the situation. Basically yesterday at work was a little extra-slow. The woman I’m working with was out on flex time, and I was able to finish my work fairly quickly. This left me with a lot of free time on my hands and no "specific task" to work on. Now this is nothing unusual. I've had a ton of jobs, and it's my opinion that for a lot of people, most of the time, there's a good amount of dead space in each day. It's just the nature of working in an office I think. We all have computers to make things efficient, and lots of distractions, and the end result is a good day productivity wise is probably capped at about 60% or 70% of the day actually spent working.
past blast
Today some mail arrived and in it was this and one other picture that my mom found in some old boxes.

i'm pretty sure that was taken my softmore year of college at an intervarsity group at chico state. The guy involved is named blake, he and I eventually lived together (although we re-met through the edge years later). The girl's names i'm sure i forget, but the shorter one i think may have been a lisa.
Happy Flag Day

Happy 4th of July everyone. Unfortunately, I'm not celebrating it here, totally slipped my mind due to Canada Day. Sufficed to say, however – and despite my nearly 2 years of Canuck influence – I'm still proud to be an American. Maybe more than ever. We Yanks are flawed people to be sure, but there's good stuff in the people who call Red, White, and Blue home.
Enjoy your celebrations, and the fireworks (I won't be seeing any until August

Phil Collins and Enchiladas
Today I got a strange urge to cook. I was planning on heading down to Broadway for some tasty food, when all of a sudden the thought of my family's homemade enchiladas came screaming into my mind. My roommate Michael agreed, expressing that he would enjoy tasting the sweet chili spices and so I embarked on a quick shopping spree to get the necessary ingredients.
