Tarzan, Spongebob, and Romance…

Well I just came to a point today where I was compelled to blog. I'm beginning to wonder if it's an addiction. Now that nearly everyone on earth has a blog it's not like there's anything special about it anymore. Just a crazy cyber spaced land where everybody is competing for attention on their blogs and myspace pages. And I suppose I’m as guilty of that narcissistic crime as anyone else.

Daniel Powter is not very Good

I was expecting a bit more from this young artist. His song, "you had a bad day" was like the theme song for this season's American Idol. That strangely feels like an ironic title for a song when everybody's goal is basically to have a good day. Oh well.

Blockquote

apologies about the recent lack of quality posts, I've been slightly distracted by the site design, as you can see from a couple of minor modifications. The new image on the top is meant to depict vancouver (as you may have noticed all of the images are meant to do) but this time in the context of the sunny summertime. Skyline pictures in the summer look pretty bland though, too much blue and yellow (hard to compare to a skyline sunset or lit up by city lights). So I spent some time learning a little more about my favorite image program (fireworks) and learned how you can create vector objects (shapes) that are based on outlines of things like clouds and buildings. I'm pleased with the result. I still have my vancouver sky and it's really bright and cheery. It's also be fun to delve a little deeper into the world of graphic design. If I keep up at it, one day I might truly be a "graphic artist." Probably not though.

Old Times

I can't look at these at work, so here's a link to some old sesame street and muppet videos. I hope everything on the site content is ok. If not, I apologize and will correct the situation when I get home!

I'm also testing out a new mini-template for my blockquote entries. So for example, you may have noticed that I just said the following:

Picture of the (year?) day

this is a cat that my roommate michael took a picture of on holiday

kill me.

ok, here we go…

I'd like a cat like that.
