Exercise
I Came up with a great new exercise routine today (my routine I mean I’ve done it exactly one day).
Dwayne Wade is the next Dwayne Wade
Idiot. Seriously. Mark Jackson is an Idiot. I know that’s harsh but he is. I’ve been listening to ESPN’s daily podcast for exactly 10 days now, and each day this guy get’s increasingly more idiotic. The last one I heard, Mark Jackson said that If Avery Johnson were coaching the Miami Heat right now, and if Pat Riley were coaching the Dallas Mavericks, the Heat would have started the series out 2-0 instead of the Mavs. After Jackson’s ridiculous statement, he Heat went on to win the next three games, and now they’re up 3-2. Why? Well the coaching Is important, but it’s not so much that Riles is out-coaching Avery (this year’s coach of the year in only his 2nd year), but that Pat’s simply running a series of offences that allow Dwayne Wade to will the heat into victory after victory.
If only I were more Disciplined
Tonight at bible study got me thinking about things I'd like to do if I were more disciplined. I came up with the following.
1. I'd really be happy if I spent a solid hour every day committed to personal devotion / scripture study / spiritual reading / prayer. Hard to make that time but the few times I have it's been evident in my demeanor and effectiveness, as well as my general mood. Time with God is hard to come by, but it's really the best time.
