the Unexpressed Advantage

Today I thought was going to be a complete disaster. Ever just have one of those mornings where everything seems to predict a mess of a day. Today started out that way for me.

A truckload of people will hit theaters this weekend to watch the new superman movie. It will probably break opening records just like some movie does every summer.

As movies are getting worse every year I wonder how come that always happens. Maybe people just feel like they have nothing better to do?? – dan.

Lunch was interesting today, ahh the joy of people watching. I noticed the following things:

• A man on a segway tooling around the SUB (student union building).


• At the pizza shop there were two pieces that I really wanted. I couldn’t choose between them, so I just bought them both.
• In the shop everyone, including the employees were intensely focused on the soccer game (France vs. Somebody). I’m fascinated by this current soccer craze, expect a blog on that soon.


• Sat down on a grassy hill and noticed the man on the segway again. A blog about how dumb segways are would have been coming, ‘cept then I saw the man tool of at like 20kph. I was sufficiently amused. Blog thrashing diverted.

June 20th 2006 may have been one of the best days in my life.

I know that’s extreme, but some days just rule.

The day started out a bit sleep deprived, but in anticipation of a job interview in the early morning.

I wore my favorite sports coat for good luck.

Before the interview, I parked at the church and played piano for a while, which resulted in my bumping into my pastor Geoff. Geoff encouraged me on the sermon I preached at church last Sunday, as well as voluntarily prayed for my Job interview.

Hanging out with Geoff is really fun.
