Mini Blog
Right now I'm watching a downloaded copy of the Mavs and the Pistons. It's early in the 4th quarter. The Pistons are 8/8 shooting from downtown. Unbelievable.
Recently I've watched the Cavs, the Heat, the Suns, the Lakers, the Spurs, and my beloved Kings.
I love basketball. I love NBA basketball. I love it, love it, love it, love it. I love it so much.

Adventures in the Land of Schmuplesmelt
Today Joash came out and relayed to me the importance of us having chickens.
“We should have chickens, that way we can have eggs.”
My reply, “We’re not getting chickens.”
Joash: “It’s so much cheaper…”
I naturally replied, “Joash, you don’t need to get chickens, we can just buy eggs from safeway, you get so many more and they probably don’t cost much more than chicken feed.”

Sorry about the flour post, I don’t know what I was thinking.
Lots of things happen in the last couple of week.* First last Tuesday had an early birthday dinner with Jane and Dane. I received: 1 Cutco pizza cutting kit including a Pizza Cutter, Garlic Press, and a Cheese Knife. I’m not sure where the cheese knife fits in, but it’s really cool.
Spent the Next couple of days contemplating what it would be like to turn 30. Scary.
Following Saturday – Afore mentioned James Bond Night. A hoot. Pizza Cutter = effective.
Current Ingredient of Choice: Flour
Right now I am loving flour. Any recipe I see that requires flour, even a little, and I get excited.
Grandma's Hash Browns – 1/4 cup flour
Pancakes – 3 cups flour
Country Sausage Gravy – 1/4 cup flour
This excitement about flour pinnacled in the recent pizza night experience. Last Saturday I went with some friends to a "James Bond-a-thon." The meal of the evening was to be pizza, I was to provide the crust. Apart from using a bread maker, I've never made a pizza crust from scratch before (6 cups flour), so I was a bit nervous. But I've been a little extra-confident on the baking front lately so I thought I'd give it a whirl.

I turned Thirty yesterday. Sweet sweet thirty. It's not all that bad. Good week. Multiple meals, sweet desserts, and the funniest birthday prayer ever. Also unbelievable pizza crust and communion botching.
