3000 Miles in 6 Days?

Let’s see…

12/18 – Vancouver to Portland, 300mi
12/20 – Portland to Vancouver, 300mi
12/21 – Vancouver to Auburn, 950mi
12/22 – Auburn to Chico, 90 mi
12/23 – Chico to Auburn, 90 mi

1730 Miles in 6 Days, all with me driving. According to Google Maps, that’s about the equivalent of driving from Sacramento to Des Moines, Iowa. I’m not sure why I’d want to go to Des Moines, but I’m sure it’s interesting.

Home.

Nice 16 hr drive yesterday with Leslie. I"m in Auburn. It's raining here. Very quiet. I think I need to grab a book.

All Done

Welp,

It's done. I wrote my final final today. Boy am I spaced out. 5 straight days of nearly no sleep, hundreds of pages of reading (or skimming), big study notes binders translated in to cramming notes translated into single pages.

And I am so glad to be done. It's been a hard semester. My courses were just tougher, and to have four finals in a week is pretty unusual in grad school. Needless to say, I'm wiped.

Progress Thus Far

1, count 'em 1 final left.

C'mon tiger.

Probably Ought to Sleep Soon

2 down 2 to go. I'm not sure what I was thinking when I picked my classes, it's now end of term and I have to deal with 4 yes FOUR finals that I'm barely prepared for. The hardest two are out of the way at least, Old Testament and Greek are done and done, respectively.

Now comes the irritating "essay" finals for History and Christian Thought & Culture. Those finals will be easier, except that I hate handwriting, it's horrible. But I'll have to charge through it and soon I'll be a much relieved little bunny, ready to leave this beautiful yet brisk weather for the "cold in your bones" winter experience that is Northern California. Looking forward to it. – Dan.
