the Unexpressed Advantage

I just think it's funny that xe.com puts up a little notifier whenever the Canadian dollar overvalues the U.S. dollar and says it's a "rate explanation". I'm pretty sure it's a "rub it in your face" explanation. Jerks. They should have one on the euro. It would say,

Rate Explanation

This rate means that the Euro is worth twice as much as your dollar, 2 and a half times as much as the Canadian dollar, 3 times as much as the Australian dollar, and Hey We in Europe rock!

unfortunately, Dane didn't get a pedicure this year, his loss.

By now you should know that every year around july, I meet with my friends from Camp Good Times for our annual Pedicure. At first I did this as a joke but then I realized that it was a really good idea for a number of reasons:

1. Get to hang out with friends from camp good times
   
2. Foot care, of neglected by males, especially good for a guy who wears sandals nearly year-round
   
3. Get to be "pampered".
   
4. I deserve it.
   

I got to spend some time with Derek and Heather and since their son is basically a 100% guaranteed good photo almost every time, I brought the camera along. Today I'm feeling really glad that I kept the camera since I got some good shots here and some decent ones at my staff luncheon (on picasa page). I'm starting to remember some of the things I loved about photography back in the day (and some things I didn't love).

I get to watch this guy speak today.  Im stoked.

To make a long story short, for reasons unknown I was pretty much hell-bent on returning my camera today, the last day to return under Futureshop's uber-cool "return anything for any reason" policy. I was gonna do it, but then last night I changed my mind. I basically suffer from the worst kind of buyer's remorse, and I decided that I didn't have time to do any photography. But then for more reasons unknown I just up and changed my mind. I think the fact that some guy took this photo with the same camera that got I may have helped. But it's obviously going to be a long time before I land any great shots like that.
