Blockquote
apologies about the recent lack of quality posts, I've been slightly distracted by the site design, as you can see from a couple of minor modifications. The new image on the top is meant to depict vancouver (as you may have noticed all of the images are meant to do) but this time in the context of the sunny summertime. Skyline pictures in the summer look pretty bland though, too much blue and yellow (hard to compare to a skyline sunset or lit up by city lights). So I spent some time learning a little more about my favorite image program (fireworks) and learned how you can create vector objects (shapes) that are based on outlines of things like clouds and buildings. I'm pleased with the result. I still have my vancouver sky and it's really bright and cheery. It's also be fun to delve a little deeper into the world of graphic design. If I keep up at it, one day I might truly be a "graphic artist." Probably not though.
The other change can be seen in this blockquote:
The blockquote is the web's method for setting apart a certian quotation or portion of the text to take both visual and subjectual emphasis. Even if a reader was skimming through an article, he or she should be drawn to and most likely would read the contents of the blockquote, often reading it before the actual contents of an article…
Behind web desing is a styling language called "CSS" CSS is a fairly new development to the wwww (3 or 4 years) and is primarily responsible for much of the beauty you might find when browsing the web. One of the things that CSS enables you to do is create a pretty nifty blockquote format. So i gave it a shot. Why pink? I dunno, i just like the softness of it. The cool thing about the whole CSS / Web thing is that whenever I want to make something stand out using that little box, All I have to do is write "blockquote" around it and I'm good to go.
Anyway that's what's up with the site. What's up with Dan? Not much, bring in some more of that later. – dan.

It’s a nice shade of pink.
