Terry Gross is one of my favourite
Fresh Air is a daily NPR interview show that you can listen to on the radio (for those who know how a radio works), on the internet, and via podcast. I get it every day on my ipod. Terry Gross, America's greatest interviewer, talks with a number of different actors, musicians, artists, and politicians (and all other types of interesting people). It's done in a way that is thoughtful, informative, and interesting – while somehow bringing out the mildly absurd. A good example is yesterday's special about animal health care, Michael Schaffer: America Is Going To The Dogs?
One of the best one's I've heard in a while is TR Reid giving a detailed explanation of the different types of health care in different nations. I think its something every American should hear to get a sense of how health care does and doesn't work in other parts of the world: T.R. Reid: Looking Overseas For 'Healing Of America' (or if you want you can just read his book). Terry Gross saves me the time of reading some books though. And that's probably why I love her.
Also, just cause it's really interesting: Mike Judge (creator of beavis and butthead), Finding A Comic 'Extract' In The Office
I’m glad you enjoy her. I turn her off nearly every time she comes on. I could go into it, but this may not be the forum.
