May You Rest Well

Since some of you know her or have met her I thought I'd post a quick memorial for my Grandma Margie who passed away on Jan 3 of this year. Grandma died of heart failure about a week after Christmas. It was unexpected so that was a bit shocking, but she died quite peacefully with my Mom and my Mom's sister Betty by her side, and after a wonderful time with family over the holidays..

My Grandma was awesome to say the least; always full of love and affection for so many, but especially her family. At 86 she was fun and fruitful and friendly; she did Tai-Chi and drove a Mustang. She made everyone around her laugh and taught the likes of me how to tell a story – among many other things. She looked great in Red; and knew it. She bought me my first record – Survivor, Eye of the Tiger. I could go on and on, but this isn't the place. Just so you know that she was a wonderful person and will be missed by a lifetime full of people she blessed. I'll miss her dearly. We'll celebrate her in memorial Feb 7.

I’m so sorry to hear that Dan. It sounds like she was quite the lady.

You can tell all those things about her by that picture! What an AMAZING smile! I am so sorry she is absent from your life now, but so glad you had a grandma like that! My love to you and your family.

Dan, I am so sorry for this loss but glad you had such a neat lady in your life for so long. Grandmothers are special and irreplaceable.
