NKOTB! YAH! YAH! HANGIN TOUGH!

So Tonight the New Kids on the Block are coming HERE to Vancouver.

How exciting is that?!

I know it seems a little weird for a guy to be excited about that, but I've always really enjoyed the New Kids music, seeing as how I first encountered them when I was a 13 year old boy who liked to sing and liked girls, their songs were a pretty good fit.

And as Annie mentioned recently on her blog, NKOTB is back in full-swing, touring the country(ies) and sounding as awesome as ever!

AND I'M SO EXCITED THAT I'M GOING!

That's right, I get to go see the concert with Christina, Helen, and Wendy! Hooray! They love the New Kids too! WE'RE ALL GOING!

In fact, Christina and Helen were really impressed last night when I was helping them prep their apartment to get painted this weekend that I knew most the the NKOTB songs by heart (we listened to them while we were working!)

SO IT'S SO FUN THAT WE'RE ALL GONNA GO!

CAUSE THEY INVITED ME TO GO WITH THEM…

...

...

...except they didn't.

In fact, I'm specifically not invited – I think because I'm a boy; or maybe they just hate me. So I'm not going. I guess my life is kinda sad.

That's ok. They weren't really that good anyway.

If anybody cares, I didn't have a "favourite" New Kid, but I related to Donnie (my "favourite" was Paula Abdul, anyway).

Ppsshhsst. New Kids suck anyway.

hmmmm…. funny. seems like this blog is suppose to make me feel bad or something along that type of guilty-esque feeling. i’m trying. really. but strangely. no remorse. hmmm. perhaps if u didn’t TRY to make me feel bad about not inviting you. i would’ve felt a tiny little smidgen of guilt. (and yes it was VERY impressive that u knew all the songs). perhaps u r right. perhaps it is b/c ur a boy. i always knew u were special tho dan. and now u’ve proven it true – while all other boys at that age were into New Jack City or something like that u were a secret NKOTB fan!!!
i’ll tell u this tho. if i do. by some miracle meet NKOTB at all. i will tell them that my friend Dan thinks they rock and he wished he could be here tonight. except that he’s a boy :P

Just a Minor Caveat: I think that this blog makes it pretty obvious that I’m a PUBLIC nkotb fan. Except for they’re not good anymore and they never were and the concert is going to suck.

Also New Jack City is awesome. And so is Sports and Trucks.

Its best that this ‘full circle’ moment in our (me and the ladies) lives best involve only women. I first saw them in grade 5…no boys were allowed to come then either.

boys smell

You All are just jealous because not only can I sing the songs correctly (as a man) but I have all the dance moves in my repetoire

It’s o.k. Dan, you can come with me…....

Ok, (1) this concert will NOT suck.

(2) There was a “boy” (man) at the concert in Sacramento. He was there with his female significant other. And we were seated behind him – poor guy. We gave him such a hard time because he wasn’t dancing, or screaming, or singing. He thought we were funny. His lady was totally into the show. What a good sport, though. Huh?

(3) I GUARANTEE that at one point during the Vancouver show, a bra will mysteriously be tossed up to the guys. Jordan will probably swing it around over his head and then throw it back into the crowd. Christina. Helen. Tell me if I’m wrong. It’s been a proven trend, and I think those New Kids bring it as a prop. I know, lame, but THEY are not lame. Just that part of their show. Oh, and that they change their outfits entirely too many times.

Alright, I’m done.
