I popped over to get gas this morning and as I walked into the building today I noticed that a huge graffiti tag was on the front window, no doubt a remnant of the previous-night's precarious Halloween activities by the wild Point Grey youth. The following conversation ensuded with the neighbourhood Gas Clerk Ali (who, as far as I can tell, works at the gas station 24 hours a day):

Me:    "HEY! It looks like you got graffitied!"

Ali:    "I know! What?" (his English=not great)

    Me:    "You got tagged man!"

Ali:    "Oh yeah. I know. They pain the window"

    Me:    "That's crraaazy."

Ali:    "What? You did do this?"

Me:    "What? No way man, If I was going to tag you I'd do it when you were here."

Ali:    "I know. Can you read what it says? I can't make the letters."

Me:    "I don't think those are words, graffiti's more like Art."

Ali:    "I know. They must have been drunk."

I love that guy. I love living in the city.

P.s., if Beth ever sends me the pictures you all get to see my first Halloween costume in like 22 years, I was "Mexican Domino Dan."
