Last night I made a dinner for a support raising thing for my friend Wendy. I wanted to push the envelope a little bit so I tried some new things. Result

    Summer Avocado and Shrimp Salad

    White Chicken Parmesan Lasagna

    Served with toasted garlic bread

Apart from the parsley, I couldn't quite figure out how to garnish the lasagna. But it looks pretty nice on a small plate. Thinking maybe a couple of pieces of steamed broccoli. A nice and hearty meal, not so good on the heart valves though.

    Recipe for both here

I'm no Paul Palmer, but I think I've pretty much got this cooking thing licked. So I'm pretty much done with the catering or cooking for mass people thing. If I make you dinner, it's cause you're special.

So I figure my next shot at a dan ray meal is when he lets us stay for about a week in Feb 2010. I’ll make the torts and beans if you make yummy food like this…

Steph at least you have no qualms about whether you’re special. You are special.
Are you coming up for the olympics?

If we can grab some floor at your place I may be!!! Winter games aren’t really my thing, but with the added bonus of Dan Ray, it may be hard to pass up. Nah, the special part is a given (but thanks!)- same goes for you, Sanchito! ;)
