Rodeo.

I'm not usually into doing picture posts; this mostly because I don't have a good Camera. Went to the Rodeo on Saturday though and borrowed Vanya's camera for a while so I figured I'd post some of the outcomes. The rodeo was pretty cool, I must say. Especially when they said, "we like to pray to our Lord Jesus before we get started". I'm sure that wouldn't have gone over very well in Vancouver. Cowboy culture. You gotta love it.

It was hot. I mean like 29 degree hot (that's 90 Fahrenheit). I'm not sure what's going to happen when I move back to California. Most likely I'll melt.

Enjoy…

This horse has no legs. Yet it is equally dangerous.

After riding the horse they would do this "live-action" transfer to the patrol horses. Every time. Cowboys are basically like Batman.

Eventually it became clear that the only fun picture to take was the cowboys falling off of the horses.

sweet. Horse, 1; Cowboy, dirt.

Kids and sheep something something…

...I don't know 'cause I was too busy watching Josh try to make Naomi wear the hat.

this is Luke. Karen is it ok if I post this? This is my attempt to take off-center subject contrast photos. It's been a while since I took photo courses, so I don't really know what I'm doing anymore.

At this point I'm just taking pics of Luke because he's insanely photogenic.

trying to get artsy with a cow. It didn't work.

Generally cowboys are pretty cool. They're really short; but they're cool. Like Boian. Boian is basically a cowboy.

i am a cowboy.

All claims of cowboy-ness must be accompanied w/ photographic proof in the way of said claimed cowboy in wranglers, plaid cotton or plain white T-shirt, and a hat (boots and chaw optional) to be verified by an outside panel of experts – i.e. the readers of dray’s blog. All claims must be submitted before Memorial Day. :)

i may not be a cowboy. however, if i am not a cowboy, that makes dan ray a liar.
