Whoops.

After talking to a couple of people today I think that yesterday's post, "Sober Reality TV." May have come off a little more "sober" than I had intended. As a point of clarification, let me tell you that none of us walked away discouraged, nobody was crying or feeling sorry for themself. This includes me. I was hoping the "I'm pretty blessed" part of the post might have alluded to that.

Either way, I think what motivated me was the spirit of the conversation. My intent was to try and deliver some of that spirit over to you the reader, and throw out many (some rhetorical) questions for you to ponder. I wasn't complaining, and neither was anyone involved in the conversation; that's why I felt it was ok to share, because on the whole the conversation was actually edifying and I think it helped us to think more clearly about some of these issues and how they translate back to life and faith.

It's either that or a youtube video of a reported getting flipped over by a skier. I thought you'd appreciate the former (beth: former is first latter is last). In any case, let me be really clear: I was not complaining in any way.

Now. My professor is lecturing while drinking scotch at the same time. So I must get back to that immediately.

FYI, I didn’t think you sounded like you were complaining at all in that post. I just haven’t had a chance to comment on it. But I will.

ditto, annie. I was trying to answer all the “married” questions. Didn’t know some were rhetorical! ;)
Way better than a youtube video – well, most anyway.
