• Where are the Babies?!?

    What about the baby montage?

Update: the laptop is working VERY well. I may have gotten lucky on this one.

You're probably wondering that. You've been promised all kinds of pictures of babies and there are no pictures of babies. Parents are getting angry, you find yourself pacing… lacking sleep… restless.

It kind of has to do with this:

You see, the pictures of the babies are on my laptop. And the picture above is what my laptop looked like yesterday morning. I'm having some minor problems with the laptop, in that it is shutting down when I try to use it. I don't mean shut down in the "shut down windows" sense. I mean, I turn it on, open up a file, and then the screen turns black and the power shuts off.

It's kind of like when I was in 7th grade. I had a crush on Melissa Gray. I had a big crush on her. I didn't really know what to do in that situation in 7th grade, so I just kind of followed her around and tried to talk to her. When I did this, she would not talk to me and then she'd leave. That's kind of like my laptop.1

Result: I keep taking apart my laptop and doing stuff to make it quit shutting down. I'm pretty sure the problem is somewhere in here:

So I bought some sticky goo from the computer store and I keep putting varying amounts on various places, all for the purpose of dissapating heat (this is the problem, there's too much heat for the little guy; he can't handle the heat, ha ha ha).

I figured 6am yesterday morning was a good time to do this.

The last two times I tried this, it didn't work. In fact the problem got a little worse. So this my final attempt. Yesterday morning at 6:47am and my laptop still looked like this:

And I'll know after I use it in class today whether the solution worked. And if it worked we're all that much closer to the baby montages.

    I myself can't wait.

Update The laptop actually seems to be working! Things are looking good.

    1. eventually, I asked her if she would "go" with me. She said no, but she did want to be friends, and she proved it by becoming a pretty good friend for a while. She's one of the two girls who provided me with a significant amount of Paula Abdul pictures to put on my wall that year. [ƒ]

One Responseso far.
