Just When You Think Things Couldn’t Possibly be any Worse…

You go and totally redeem yourself.

Today was a pretty good day. Work was quick, efficient. I had a great talk with my old pal Nevs, I finished a paper, albeit two hours late, but it was good stuff…

And in a random conversation with a friend I somehow got invited to a BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN concert on Monday! How great is that. I'm going to go see the Boss. Then i'll be able to say, "hey have you seen the boss in concert? No? Oh, that's a bummer. I saw him once, and it was awesome.

In other news, I finally got to meet Ben Wade Splintalt (Jane Halton and Dane Splinter's son). Due to unmitigated circumstances and my completely sucky schedule I didn't get to meet him until a few weeks after he was born. But it was worth the wait because he's the coolest little guy ever. Mike, I totally think he'll be able to take Luke, even though Luke will have size, Ben has speed and he's wiry (see: trainspotting).

Dane is goofy. But the man is a great dad

For all my friends who also have babies and I haven't posted pictures yet,1 fear not! The baby montage cometh. I'm just gonna post every single baby picture on one blog and be done with it. Until then Ben will tide everyone over. He's got "delicate parts", he's super cute, and he's better than bread.

On another random note, I spent about 20 minutes the other day photographing every step from beginning to end of making my Mom's famous enchilada recipe. I'm not sure why, but I might as well post a how to here sooner or later.

Paul Palmer is back in Vancouver. This was apparent at worship practice tonight because the bass was a boomin' and so so sweet. It's good to have Paul back. Making music kind of stinks without him. Oh, and he's engaged. You devil, you.

All in all, this has been one helmet of a day.

  1. strangely, none of them read this blog. They're probably too busy with their babies – exception: Josh and Grace – Naomi gets priority [ƒ]

Oh yeah, AND I got a talking Michael Scott card for my birthday AND I got a $50 safeway gift card from my MOM for my Birthday. Wednesdays are so much better than Mondays.

Nice blog…wrong quote…

Just when I thought you couldn’t get any dumber, you go and do something like this… and totally redeem yourself!

:)

It was a “paraquote”. I figured most people would get the point, but there’s always those dumb and dumber enthusiasts who are nitpicky about every dumb and dumber line. Not that I’m talking about you.

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN!!! THE BOSS!!!

blown quote and all … you did the right thing by posting the dumb and dumber picture.

you talked to nevens and i watched his kid yesterday. we watched baseball together, but i don’t have a picture of him for your montage.

i have about 90 so we’re all good there.

Hey, Anna’s mom reads this blog too, she just doesn’t comment that often. I thought you had super tracking skills and could see every person and computer that your blog was seen from…any how, Ben does win the cutest tiny baby award! Well done Jane and Dane!
