Stuff White People Like

This link flew in this morning from a friend. It's a blog that is entirely dedicated to stuff that white people like. Seriously, is there NOT a blog about anything these days? Somebody should search for a blog about "tasty variations of frog leg recipes" or "convenient ways to fold toilet paper." I'm sure they're out there.

Anyway, I wouldn't normally post a link like this, but I found the site surprising in its accuracy. I mean, I'm a white person, or at least a Danish-Mexican white person, and I was surprised at the number of things on there that appeared to be true (especially "the wire").

The guy who does this site is either profoundly insightful or he'd make one heck of a fortune-cookie writer.

Side note, I didn't read the site all that much, so if for some reason you find anything offensive I apologize (but I'm not "sorry")

I checked the link a few weeks ago when there was a feature on Talk of the Nation on NPR – creepily accurate – especially for hipsters!

You could probably just listen to NPR and get all those things. All they ever talk about is the wire and barack obama.

Well of course there must be a website for frog leg recipes…everyone would use that. :)

Or at least Lucas would…remember over Christmas Lucas had frog legs at a restaurant in Arkansas…

No, No, No…that’s all they ever talk about on “Fresh Air”, my least favorite NPR show (the exception was when they interviewed the guys from Spinal Tap & Metallica – great shows!).

Rowan,

how did we go from being cool teenagers that rode around in your honda accord and cruised at the taco bell to people who listen to fresh air and this american life?

I didn’t read every post, but I did go through the whole list and found it surprisingly funny and accurate.

I fret the “cool” was self-delusional…maybe we were always this lame.
I’m trying to score some more cool points by going to see The Cure this summer in NYC! Then again…maybe they are old cool not the new hotness…
2HEG620 (my accord) will always be cool, however!
