    Let’s see…

    12/18 – Vancouver to Portland, 300mi
    12/20 – Portland to Vancouver, 300mi
    12/21 – Vancouver to Auburn, 950mi
    12/22 – Auburn to Chico, 90 mi
    12/23 – Chico to Auburn, 90 mi

1730 Miles in 6 Days, all with me driving. According to Google Maps, that’s about the equivalent of driving from Sacramento to Des Moines, Iowa. I’m not sure why I’d want to go to Des Moines, but I’m sure it’s interesting.

What does all this say? I guess that I like my friends and my family, and also I like driving. The trips made me tired, but they also gave me an opportunity to get acquainted with Darrell Johnson’s advanced preaching class and Rick Watts’ NT class (thanks to my trusty ipod). I enjoy driving, maybe I’m ready for a great cross country trip. Which country, I’m not sure, I hear that driving across Canada is fun or something.

They were good drives though. Unlike the drab mostly desert experience of driving to Des Moines, driving up and down the west coast is a beautiful pleasure. Great scenery, meandering freeway, and few to none speed traps make it the ultimate driving experience. The mountain passes are exquisite as well.

Anyway, I’m in Auburn now, and I get a full day off from driving, until Christmas, when I get to take my family down to San Francisco (120 mi) for the big day.

At least the food will be good. – dan.
