Do You Know Where the States Are?

I participated in a tournament like this in 5th Grade…

The Goal: Place all 50 states on a map. The winner: Me.

It was timed, and I beat out Mark Walker in the final with a time of like 1 minute 23 seconds. A huge improvement over my 1:51 time in the semifinals.

But that was fifth grade and apparently I've lost my edge because on this game I only managed 75%

Granted it's a little bit harder. It's not timed but you get dinged if your more than a few miles off. Those New England States are really hard. I think they should all be one state, they're too small to be real states.

Anyway, maybe you can do better. Try it out here

it’s sunday. are you already planning on how you are going to dread tomorrow – monday? i work tomorrow and then i have at least the next 8 mondays off … i also won’t have a job. what goes up, must come down. that’s what they say anyway.

I only missed one state and it was Tennessee!! I know where Tennessee is but I just didn’t have anything else on the map. So I ended up with 98.03% accuracy and I was only had a 2 mile error rating! Sweet!

I managed a rather impressive 64.7 and only a 145 mile error rating. I will have to hunt around for a map of New Zealand to see how many cities you can all place correctly

my score was 66.66 – and i had at least 3 mistakes that were just a matter of accidentally letting the mouse up too soon. for a canadian, i’m pretty pleased with myself. new england was the hardest part to do…they’re too tiny to be called “states.” do you know how big our smallest province is!? i’d love to make people do this game with a canadian map :)

see you next week!

My score was 78% with a error distance of 26 miles.

92.15; 7 miles; 401 seconds…I love geography – but that is a tough game! Puting states on an empty map tests your perception more than your geographic skills!
