Thursday Nugget
I've learned a lot of things in my life:
- Polarized sunglasses will actually reduce glare from the sun as opposed to normal sunglasses which wont, and are particularly for fashion purposes.
- If you drive too long with a squeaky sound coming from your brakes, it's going to end up costing you more than it would have if you just got the squeak fixed (new brake pads) in the first place)
- Even the most hostile people can generally be disarmed with a geniunine smile.
- If you try to do or say things to make a pretty girl notice you without actually approaching her or talking to her, she won't notice you, no matter how loud you talk or how sexyback you pose.
- I don't like cereal
But yesterday I learned something that suprised me. Here it is.
Dan's little nugget of Wisdom on Thursday
Candy. Write this down. Candy holds way more weight in terms of office favor than other things. Even things you think will be really effective like donughts or donught holes (known in Canada as "Timbits"). If you want people to like you at work, get some candy, put it in a bowl, and make sure that somehow they know it was from you. People at work love candy.
:
.dan.:note: make sure it's good candy. Starburst, chocolate, or Skittles. If you get that cheesy $1 a large bag rock candy, people will thank you less

hey, i used that same picture on one of my posts a while back.
